Video game

"Even nonviolent games like Tetris were painted with the same masculine brush when they appeared in ads for the Game Boy. It was, after all, the Game Boy, not the Game Girl."[1]

Video game is a type of game implemented as a programme run on a computer or a console.

The extreme sexual objectification of women in video games can lead to "armour" that covers little skin yet nonetheless works in-game.[2]

Video games are often explicitly marketed to men or boys[1] and gamer culture is often masculine and heteronormative.
